What End of Life Means

The EOL stage begins with the end of production and distribution of a product and ends with the end of product support. Each stage has a clearly published date, listed per product in the directory below. E-Lins may revise the information on this page at its discretion; the dates shown always reflect the current plan of record.

01
End of Ordering
After this date, new orders for the product are no longer accepted. Existing orders are fulfilled as planned, and EOL is announced at least 6 months in advance.
Last Order Date
02
End of Production
After this date, the product is no longer manufactured or distributed. The five-year support window begins on this date.
Support Window Starts
03

EOL Policy
What does End of Life (EOL) mean for an E-Lins product?
+
End of Life is the final stage of a product's life cycle. It begins when a product no longer meets market requirements and the end of ordering is announced, and it concludes with the end of support. After the end-of-support date, the product no longer receives firmware updates, security fixes, or technical assistance.
What is the difference between End of Ordering, End of Production, and End of Support?
+
End of Ordering is the last date on which new orders are accepted. End of Production is the last date on which the product is manufactured and shipped. End of Support is the date after which no firmware updates, security patches, or technical support are provided.
How long does E-Lins support a product after it reaches EOL?
+
Support is provided for five years after the End of Production date. During the first 24 months we deliver full security and bug fixes; during the following 36 months we deliver critical security fixes and provide best-effort technical support.
Ordering & Migration
Can I still order a product that is listed as EOL?
+
Orders can be placed until the End of Ordering date shown in the list above, subject to stock availability. After that date the product is no longer orderable, and we recommend migrating to the listed replacement model.
How do I choose a replacement for my EOL product?
+
The list above shows the recommended replacement for every EOL product. Replacement models offer equivalent or improved functionality, and existing configurations can usually be migrated directly. If no replacement is listed, contact our team for a migration recommendation.
Will my existing configuration work on the replacement model?
+
In most cases, yes. Replacement models run the same firmware platform, and configuration files can be exported from the EOL unit and imported on the replacement. Our support team provides a migration checklist for every EOL-to-replacement path on request.
Support
Where can I download firmware and documentation for EOL products?
+
Firmware archives, user manuals, and datasheets for EOL products remain available in our documentation wiki throughout the five-year support window.
What happens to my warranty after a product reaches EOL?
+
EOL status does not affect the warranty of units already purchased. The standard warranty terms of your order remain unchanged, and RMA service continues within the support window.
How can I get notified when a product approaches EOL?
+
Subscribe to EOL notices on this page or contact your E-Lins sales representative. We announce EOL at least 6 months before the End of Ordering date, together with the recommended replacement model.
